Q&A
Your archive is your complete record of artworks: their details, images, provenance history, and documents. Archives are workspaces, either for an artist or a gallery. You sign in with one personal profile and can create or be invited to multiple archives, toggling between them freely. Each archive can have multiple members, and all actions are logged for full transparency and accountability.
Artists send a consignment request to a gallery using the gallery’s unique code. Once accepted, the gallery receives the essential artwork details: title, year, medium, dimensions, description and images. From there, each party generates documents and records events independently within their own archive. The artist always retains ownership of their records.
Galleries have read-only access to consigned artwork details and images. However, galleries can add their own provenance events, such as exhibitions or notes, and are the ones who mark an artwork as sold, which notifies the artist immediately. Events added by either party are private to their own archive unless individually shared.
Each party owns the provenance records they create. Privacy is respected on both sides: only the consignment event initiated by the artist, and the mark-as-sold event triggered by the gallery, are automatically shared. All other provenance events are private by default and can be individually shared if desired. Documents generated by either party are always private and never shared automatically.
Yes. Each archive is private to its members. No data is shared outside an explicit consignment relationship. Financial details are encrypted, all access is permission-controlled, and workspaces are fully isolated from one another.
Yes. Upload an existing catalogue, consignment note or invoice and AI will extract artwork details into a review queue automatically. You approve each entry before it is added to your archive.

Your data is always yours. You can download a backup of your archive at any time from Settings. Documents and images can each be downloaded individually from their respective pages.
